Hey everyone! My girlfriend bought a new computer (prebuilt) with these specs: Windows 11, a Zotac 4070 graphics card, an i7-14700kf processor, an MSI Z790 motherboard that has Wi-Fi, 32GB of RAM running at DDR5 speeds from TForce, and an 800W Gold power supply. It came with this setup, but the PC is freezing up really hard when opening things like Discord, Twitch, or YouTube.

We tried a bunch of things to fix it:
* Updating the GPU drivers
* Rolling back the GPU drivers (before October)
* Checking if BIOS and power settings were set right
* Turning off hardware acceleration on both Google and Discord
* Doing RAM scans
* Scanning the hard drive

I even removed Chrome, which seemed to help a little bit. But it's still freezing up in the settings menu, etc. I also checked everything else and can confirm there are no spikes showing up in any task manager categories. Every single component is being recognized by CPUID.

I hope you hear back from me soon!

Is there a specific make and model for a power supply unit (PSU)?

I don't know which brand or type it is, but this power supply says on the box that it can handle 800 watts and follows a specific standard.

To get an accurate diagnosis, you need to know what make and model you have. Many older or cheap units lack enough power in their settings.

It might be a problem, because those APEVIA power supplies can be really unstable and have bad quality.
