my screen keeps switching between 240hz and 144hz when I stop using it for a bit. In the Nvidia control panel, there are two ways to fix this: restart your PC or disconnect the monitor from the graphics card. I don't know why this happens. Any ideas? Till now I thought it was my Elgato card making this happen and that I might have cloned the wrong monitor, but unplugging the monitor from the GPU instead of the cable tells me the Elgato is not to blame.

Do you want me to add all my computer parts like the screen, memory, and processor details? Also tell me what brand and model of display I have, do I use DVI or HDMI cable for connection, and is this just one screen or more than one?
