I recently started playing Minecraft and found myself averaging around 50 fps along with occasional drops to about 5 fps.
My system details are:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 1700x
Memory: Gskill Trident Z Oc 3000
Graphics: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 gaming X 6gb
Before you reply, I just want to mention that I’ve tried almost everything online, including Optifine, increased RAM, adjusted settings—yet my FPS remains unchanged.
If you need any further details, I’m happy to share them.

Do you possess a single-channel memory?

Didn't you adjust the frame rate before? Back when I played Minecraft, you could control the speed.

there is an fps slider and vsync options, make sure both are off. it seems a bit strange with such low fps—check your system in task manager or your preferred diagnostic software to see what usage and temperatures are.

Do you have any mods installed such as a texture pack, and what resolution are they using? Also, note that Optifine may behave unpredictably when combined with certain shaders.

I disabled vsync and set the frame rate to unlimited. I have dual channel DDR4. I'm using optifine, pixelmon, and a minimap mod.

But you haven't resolved the problem even after adjusting the vsync and framerate settings.

The problem persists. It remains in the upper 50s but sometimes falls to around 19.

I also face this problem. I'm using a fairly high resolution texture pack, consuming around 1GB of VRAM at 2560x1080. I've set aside 12 GB for Minecraft, but it didn't make a difference. When playing, my frame rate drops significantly. It seems the chunks aren't loading quickly enough, even though the CPU usage remains low (just a bit higher when moving or loading chunks). Can I run in single channel with two RAM modules? I haven't adjusted XMP settings or changed the RAM speed from 1600 to 1333 MHz, and I didn't expect much impact on frame rate.
