I’ve spent considerable time searching online for a resolution to this problem, but I haven't been able to locate a solution. My new gaming PC is experiencing frequent lag spikes and minor stuttering, despite utilizing the most recent Java version and OptiFine. I’ve optimized my system by assigning 2, 4, 6, and 8 GB of RAM, ensured all drivers were up-to-date, adjusted Nvidia control panel settings, reinstalled Minecraft on separate drives, and yet the issues persist. During these occurrences, I observe peaks in CPU usage within Task Manager, although my benchmark tests and temperature readings indicate stable performance. These problems are exclusively confined to Minecraft, with no effect on other applications. Consequently, I suspect either an OpenGL-related problem or a Java discrepancy, but I’m uncertain about how to investigate or resolve these possibilities.

Frequently, these freezing episodes are linked to issues with your memory. Your RAM transmits data to the processor for processing, and if this information isn’t delivered promptly, it can result in momentary pauses. There are several possibilities to consider. The kind and rate of your RAM could impact how effectively it works with your processor. It’s also possible that your memory isn't operating at an optimal speed. I personally experience similar freezes while playing Minecraft on a powerful system, which suggests it might simply be a characteristic of the game itself and difficult to resolve. Considering your system’s specifications, this is puzzling. Could you please share your RAM clock speed?

Initially, the system's memory operated at a speed of 2666 MHz, but I adjusted this setting in the BIOS to 3200 MHz during initial computer configuration.

I suspect the issue isn't with the memory, and currently, the only remedy I can imagine is to revert your clock speed to its initial setting. Furthermore, this problem frequently occurs, so I’d like to ascertain whether you've identified the appropriate slots for optimal dual-channel operation. (Typically, this involves placing your RAM in positions 1 and 3.)

Absolutely, I verified that I utilized the dual channels effectively. And indeed, I observe many individuals struggling with this and it often resolves their difficulties. I will revert to my original clock speeds and observe the performance.

Currently, I’d characterize myself as reasonably skilled at diagnosing issues given the numerous adjustments I've implemented to address this problem, yet absolutely nothing appears effective. I could likely proceed, but I intend to document my gameplay and that would certainly appear unfavorable.

I’ve reverted the processor and graphics card speeds, but I'm still experiencing occasional stuttering. It’s unlikely to be a problem with the central processing unit or graphics card itself, as I'm able to run other games and tests without any issues.
