I've heard my microphone sounds way too quiet when I play games or use Discord. It's never actually about how loud my mic is set (it's already at 100%), even though I'm using the right one. After looking around online, I think it might be a Realtek device. I tried taking out the old driver, but the software won't let me remove it; it just opens a page and says no driver was found for this package. Then I tried going to Device Manager to uninstall the driver there, but nothing happened because the driver isn't listed at all. I also ran a scan to see if my computer changed anything while trying to fix this, and still nothing is showing up. Please help me get this working properly.

What kind of microphone do you have and which computer system does it connect to? You didn't tell us about your motherboard model if the audio chip is built in or soldered onto the board. Also check the BIOS version on your PC, what operating system are you running, and which exact Windows update you're using? If you run Windows 10, make sure you have at least the 20H2 update installed to avoid problems.

Make sure to tell me exactly which microphone model you have and how it connects to your computer's platform. Also, please share the make and model of your motherboard because if you used a Realtek chip that came with or was glued onto your board, I need to know what BIOS version runs on it. Finally, do let me know what operating system you are running and which version you're using; for example, if you have Windows 10, you probably want to be on update 20H2.
