My laptop screen is shaking when I plug in or take out the HDMI wire.
Hey everyone! I'm having trouble with my ASUS N552VX laptop. Every time I plug in an HDMI cable, the screen starts flickering and then suddenly turns off all by itself. Just the picture disappears; the computer stays on but no image shows up. When I take the cable out, it usually comes back to normal quickly, but sometimes it takes a few tries until it works again. I tried swapping out different cables, updated my drivers, even reinstalls of older versions and messed around with different Windows updates. Nothing fixed this issue. What do you guys think is going on? Is this a hardware problem or something else?
No, just when I take out the HDMI wire sometimes the shaking stops, but other times it keeps going and the picture goes black. Then I have to plug it in and pull it out again over and over until everything is fine.
I think something inside is loose or broken near the HDMI Port. Maybe that little wire connection holding it up is what's wrong. If I wiggle it around while plugging in and out of things, sometimes the picture comes back together. It could also get hot, stretch a bit, and then make the picture better. But when it gets cold and shrinks, the picture breaks and shows flickering. To fix this, I'd have to take the laptop apart and check the parts closely. Most likely, someone needs to repair it.
