My laptop keeps restarting when I install the new RAM on my ThinkPad 20T6 Gen2 with an AMD chip.
I put in an extra 8GB of RAM for my laptop (the original was already 8GB built-in plus another slot). It works okay for two days but then starts up again and shows a blue screen. I tried three different sticks: Crucial, Samsung, and Corsair. Even after running a memtest with no errors, something is still wrong.
It sounds like your computer was acting up because of drivers. I had this exact problem with my laptop once too, but after a couple of days it stopped happening. Just try updating the drivers or running Windows updates again.
Hey Anon, can you give me more info: did you upgrade your ram? If yes, was it a soldered one or just one stick? Is this laptop from Lenovo? Also which brand of ram stick did you use? My drivers and windows are current. Even Lenovo's auto-detect isn't showing any updates for the new stuff.
My laptop keeps restarting once I install the new RAM. Can anyone give me some advice about this issue with my ThinkPad 20T6 Gen2 using an AMD processor?
