I’m experiencing intermittent internet connection drops while playing Overwatch on PC following the latest patch. The connection disconnects approximately 20 minutes into gameplay, causing a complete loss of internet connectivity for all devices connected to my router. I have a DSL connection with a TP-Link wireless router and am located in the UK. I primarily play over Wi-Fi due to space constraints, but this issue has never occurred before.

I’ve attempted troubleshooting steps including power cycling the router, using a WiFi extender with an Ethernet cable connection, and resetting the router. The router also loses internet connectivity when Overwatch disconnects. Other devices connected to the router (phones, tablets) are affected. My wife played Civ 6 for several hours without issue.

Recent changes include a recent storm resulting in a power surge that damaged my previous router, as well as switching to a Razer Mamba mouse and installing the latest Razer Synapse software. I suspect this may be contributing to lag but am uncertain. I require assistance with diagnosing and resolving this network issue, preferably explained in simple terms.

I was able to play on Xbox without any problems. I do not understand what this indicates regarding the issues I am experiencing on PC, aside from the possibility of eliminating a hardware or ISP issue.
