So, I need to connect my headset to the back of the PC. The sound is much quieter now than before.
I've been trying to fix it all day and I'm running out of patience.
My audio drivers are up to date.
I'm using Realtek, but I can't access the console—it just won't launch.
I'm using an adapter for the cable.
I'm running Windows 10.
If anyone has any advice, I'll do my best to share more details.

I would begin by accessing the sound control panel and confirming that Realtek is chosen as the output.

Is the volume standard for the front panel audio if it exists? Which motherboard model is it?

When connected to the top, which I believe is the front panel, everything worked properly.
This is my motherboard - ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME B450-PLUS (AM4)

And on the back you're connecting the green audio port? If yes, do you have the same delay without the extension (just verify if needed)? Additionally, I'd investigate why the Realtek app isn't opening when it should be available. These steps will help determine your next move based on what you find.

The back port is the green audio one. When the extension isn't used, it still has the same issue. I'm having difficulty with the Realtek app—it won't open or start at all. I've tried everything to fix it, but it hasn't worked.

I would employ the complimentary edition of Revo Uninstaller to eliminate every Realtek application, after that restore the latest available install completely, so it can launch and enable modifications.

Is this Revo uninstaller secure? Additionally, could you tell me the most recent version of Realtek and how to obtain it?

I rely on Revo for every uninstall process since it clears all unnecessary files and registry entries, leaving no residue. I've utilized it for many years and achieved excellent outcomes. For the Realtek driver on your motherboard, please download the most recent driver from the official support site to ensure proper installation. If the software fails to open despite being selected in your audio device settings, it may indicate an incomplete or damaged installation.
