I've had trouble with a bad hard drive. When I take it out of the PC, it works fine by itself. But my internet speed dropped from over 90mbps to less than 15mbps, and even lower at 1kbps. If I am being honest, I don't know exactly what software was on that drive because I haven't touched it in about five years. I also noticed the PC making a slightly different noise than usual, but I'm not sure if that is important. Any idea why these problems might be happening? My computer has an i7-9700K processor, an RTX 2070 Super graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and storage that includes two hard drives: one SSD with 225GB and a second HDD with 2TB. These parts have been used for years while the bad drive was unplugged.
Restart your computer's network by uninstalling old driver files. Then go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status or Advanced network settings to find it there. Click "Network reset," hit OK, wait for a few minutes, and see if that helps.
