CPU specifications: Intel Core i9 7940x
Memory: 32 GB RAM
Display: Vengeance RGB 2x16
Motherboard: ROG STRIX X299-E for gaming
GPU: 1080 Ti (ROG STRIX) / AORUS 3070 (new)
Installed new GPU but RAM loss occurred—both in BIOS and Task Manager. Removed one stick, restarted, but system fails to start unless the other stick is used. Please let me know if this happens with either stick removed.

I've dealt with a similar issue before; cleaning the ram and the slot resolved the problem.

Checked relocating the dimmers in different slots. The X299-E GAMING offers eight total slots. Also performed a CMOS reset.
