The issue seems to be with the GPU port itself, possibly due to a faulty connector or internal problem. When adjusting the display settings, artifacts or black-and-white distortions appear. There may be alternative solutions to try.

Are you experiencing issues with your GPU or display? It’s possible your port isn’t damaged. You could check GPU-Z to look for any zero values on the main window. Have you attempted to remove and reinstall your display drivers? When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it’s helpful to provide detailed system specifications such as CPU, CPU cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, chassis, OS, monitor, and the age of the power supply along with its BIOS version.

With the dp port cable, the refresh rate remains at 75 hz when set to 144 hz, causing artifacts. However, on HDMI at 144 hz it functions properly. The problem persists even after purchasing a new DP cable.
