My companion possesses a Medion APU – specifically the A6-3670 – featuring an embedded graphics processor, and he desired to play games alongside me. Upon initiating Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, it consistently terminated each time he attempted to connect with any server beyond the Training mode. I offered him an older GT710 graphics card, which functioned flawlessly in numerous other games, yet CS:GO displayed an issue. Here’s what transpired:

1. He initiated CS:GO, and the game failed to respond.
2. He attempted all available match-making games.
3. During the “initializing world” stage, the game froze for approximately ten seconds before abruptly closing.

He attempted to utilize the -autoconfig command within the launch options, but this proved ineffective, and he subsequently reinstalled the game. A potential contributing factor could be his system's memory; he only has 3.5GB installed, although I doubt this is the root cause. Notably, the problem disappears when playing in Training mode, but persists with match-making and bot matches.

Are his drivers current?

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is exceptionally frustrating and incredibly poorly optimized, continually declining with each release.

He recently installed NVIDIA Experience, so it likely won’t cause issues; however, I’ll ask him to verify. A resolution occurred after he added the command `cl_disablehtmlmotd 1` and subsequently encountered a crash during resource loading.
