I purchased a PC, but I can't access the internet. How can I connect my Ethernet cable to it without having to bring it all the way into my room?

ethernet is a wire, always connecting point A (router) to point B (pc). You must move the pc or the router if you can't reach them directly. Or you might need a super long cable and loop it around your house.

Yes, there is a switch or an extender you can connect between the cable and the PC. Alternatively, using a second router allows you to plug the cable into it for connectivity.

It usually increases delay and makes things more complicated. A 100-foot cable costs $20 on Amazon, enough for most homes.

Have you considered a backup router? The cost can vary depending on the model.

It doesn't function that way. Consider using powerline adapters—they transform your home's electrical wiring into Ethernet, eliminating the need for physical cables. Simply connect one near the router, link the Ethernet to your PC, and attach the adapter to the computer for a connection.

Choosing a single 100ft cable costs $20, while a network switch and a performance boost cost $50. Adding more switches later can further improve speed, but powerline only works effectively when connected to the same line from the breaker. Keep your router near the center of the house for the best results.

Looks promising, isn't there a more affordable option that doesn't disrupt the internet?

WiFi becomes your sole choice; if your computer lacks it, purchase a Wi-Fi card for $30.
