My computer won't power up.
Hello, I received a new CPU (R5 5600) and updated my BIOS on the Gigabyte B450 Aorus M. After turning it back on, I received a warning about "New CPU installed, fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or fTPM/PSP NV structure changed." I looked into this and, like many others, I ignored the two options it offered. Later, my PC functioned normally. When I tried to restart it, it shut down and wouldn’t power back on. I pressed the power button but found no signs of life—no lights, no fans, nothing working at all. I rechecked the RAM, CMOS, and verified all cables from the PSU, but nothing was plugged in. Am I damaged? Did I brick my motherboard? Is there a way to fix this?
When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide complete system details. Please format the specs as follows:
CPU: CPU cooler: Motherboard: RAM: SSD/HDD: GPU: PSU: Chassis: OS: Monitor: Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time. Have you cleared the CMOS after updating the BIOS?
Thanks, I made sure to add all the details about my PC specs and confirmed I cleared the CMOS after updating.
