I was just going through my regular tasks while watching YouTube, and suddenly my PC shut down unexpectedly. When I tried to power it back on, it wouldn’t start again. I think the power supply unit might be the issue—it hasn’t worked properly even after testing different outlets. My temperatures were normal and I wasn’t doing heavy editing, so the problem isn’t obvious. P.S. My temperatures were fine and I didn’t do intense editing either, which makes it harder to pinpoint what’s wrong. EDIT: After replacing the faulty PSU, everything worked again... Edited April 4, 2022 by GamerDaily I fixed the issue.

Confirming connection to the power source. Are there any lights active in the system? Please share your PC specifications for the discussion. -Parz

Big chance if this is exactly what happened. Get another PSU (at least just test your components first, borrow the PSU from someone else if possible), see if your PC still works.

It's been a similar situation for me last week. I had six years left on my PSU before it failed.

It seems your setup isn't showing any signals from the mouse, keyboard, or possibly Ethernet. I wonder if the Ethernet port still responds when it's turned off. Your PC is a 7-year-old model with an Intel Core i5-4460, Intel HD Graphics 4600, 12GB DDR3 RAM at 1600 MHz, Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2 motherboard, and it's running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

There are no internal lights and both the RGB keyboard and mouse remain off. The PC specifications are: CPU – Intel Core i5-4460, GPU – Intel HD Graphics 4600, RAM – 12GB DDR3 at 1600 MHz, Motherboard – Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2, running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

I'll try to acquire another PSU and check if my components are still in good shape (hoping it works out)
