Hello,
I’m dealing with a PC that crashes unexpectedly while gaming. During the game it freezes and I hear a strange rrrrrrrrrrr sound through the headphones, followed by a reboot. After restarting, no warning appears in Windows, so it’s not a Windows problem. I ran a stress test on the CPU, which was normal. The Nvidia driver version is 580.88 dch. It only happened during WOT, and after resetting the PC while keeping personal files and installing fresh apps, the issue stopped. I also tried updating the BIOS afterward, but it didn’t resolve the problem. Today it occurred while playing WOT for the first time, and not before.

I have the following hardware:
RYZEN 5 7600X3D
RTX 4070 OC ASUS TUF gaming
EVGA 850G XC
2X16GB CL 30 6000 MHZ EXPO I PROFILE, KINGSTON FURY BEAST
1X NVME SSD KINGSTON FURY RENEGADE PCIE 4.0 M2, 1 TB (primary on Windows 11 Home)
KINGSTON NVME 500G
ASUS X670 P CSM, latest BIOS

Additional items:
FRACTAL DESIGN POP XL BLACK FULL TOWER 3 INTAKE FANS 120 mm, 1 REAR 140 mm
DEEP COOL MARRS 500 LE, 220W CAPACITY

There are event viewer errors today:
The "Microsoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider" provider failed to load due to initialization failure.

This might be an Nvidia driver crash.
Use DDU to remove your existing nvidia driver for a fresh installation. If the problem recurs later, it suggests a faulty driver setup, possibly linked to high temperatures. Monitor CPU and GPU temperatures during gaming—values above 85°C on either component are noteworthy.

It occurred once more from the log view report critical section:
The system restarted abruptly without a proper shutdown. This issue might stem from the system failing to respond, crashing, or losing power suddenly. I recorded temperatures in-game and CPU at 45 in-game, GPU at 55 while playing a match. Source: Kernel power.
I have additional PSUs, so I’ll swap them to check the outcome, the other one is Seasonic Core GM 650 with semi-modular gold.

Ook, after switching to my old PSU it seems everything functions properly. The game also works. I thought about it before possibly having a faulty PSU, but now it looks like the PSU issue was the real problem from the start.
