My computer slows down briefly before displaying a black screen for a short time.

My pc tends to lag slightly for a few seconds, especially when using Premiere Pro. Even though the tasks aren’t very demanding, it still happens sometimes. After that lag, I usually see a black screen but the system comes back after a couple of seconds. Once it powers on again, the program monitor (preview of video) shows just black, so I have to restart Premiere Pro for it to work properly. There are also instances where lag appears only when playing YouTube videos or opening certain files. I’ve replaced my CPU cooler to check if overheating was the cause while working on Premiere Pro and After Effects, but the issue persists even though temperatures are a bit higher now. What might be the reason? Is there a hardware problem?
