Thanks so much for your ideas – I’m pretty new at this, so wondering which one would be most suitable for playing games?

Logainofhades and I both shared our experiences with the Ryzen 3600 and 3300X, and I wanted to present this information in a helpful way:

Please note that both reviewers utilized RTX 2080 Tis during their testing – this was done to eliminate any potential limitations caused by less powerful graphics cards. You’ll notice smaller differences between these CPUs compared to the initial slide presentations when using weaker GPUs.

Video #1 (available at 18:18 if you just want a quick look at the average results): https://youtu.be/4dY64Zy1Mxw?t=1098
Video #2 (I recommend skipping to specific timestamps within the video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM2fFpzPKPg

I’m skeptical of Steve's assertion that an R3 is sufficient for gaming – I unfortunately learned that lesson during the Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge era.

It’s perfectly fine – it won’t crash your computer, and a GTX 1660 shouldn’t cause any issues either. Also, you’re thankfully still covered under warranty based on how you’ve been using it.
