User benchmark shows my PC is significantly underperforming expectations.
I have a Zotac 3090, an Intel i9-9900K, and a ROG MAXIMUS XI FORMULA.
My current setup includes Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C15 with 2x16GB RAM.
Compared to other streamers and players, I can stream around 250-300 streams while they run about 200 with similar or worse configurations.
I recently upgraded from a 2080 to a 3090 but have not made any further changes in about two to three years.
I just ran a DDU and reinstalled new graphics drivers, but otherwise nothing has changed.
Am I doing something incorrectly? Should I upgrade any components?

i don't change my cards physically or push the GPU that much. a few hundred plus MHz in GPU memory and even less on my GPU core works well for me.
most serious enthusiasts go beyond this by swapping thermal paste with special liquid metal, adding water blocks, tweaking the BIOS, and pushing the CPUs to extreme limits.
they also overclock with custom water cooling systems that use as much capacity as possible, and some even experiment with liquid nitrogen in their setup.
this level of customization is far beyond what most gamers or lower-end enthusiasts would want to try or afford.

have you checked the kind of overclocks others have installed? if they changed the GPU BIOS, etc.?
what nvidia control panel settings are they using?
you also seem to have slower memory than most major game streamers or competitors. that might be a small influence on other parts reaching their full capacity.
additionally, what type of hard drive(s) are they using? this can also contribute slightly to the results.
all these elements together can significantly impact situations like this.

But why is my PC acting up? It can't be just my memory, can it?

To improve your PC and boost frame rates, consider optimizing settings, updating drivers, ensuring proper cooling, and checking for hardware limitations.

i don’t change my cards physically or push them too hard. a few hundred plus MHz in GPU memory is okay for me, and even less on my GPU core works fine.
many serious enthusiasts go further—switching to special liquid metal thermal paste, adding water blocks, tweaking BIOS settings, and pushing the limits of overclocking.
they also max out their system RAM, use the most powerful cooling options, and sometimes even experiment with liquid nitrogen for cooling.
this level of customization is far beyond what most gamers or budget enthusiasts would want to try or afford.
you can easily find out your typical overclock performance by checking your card’s specs and comparing it. usually, you’ll see a small boost—perhaps 10 to 15 frames per second—without too much hassle.
adding a strong CPU overclock and possibly even higher FPS is also possible.
