My computer is not working properly :(
I accessed the Minecraft assets directory and extracted it, but the files ended up on your desktop instead of being saved there. Your desktop now contains thousands of files, which is taking a long time to clear. Please let me know how I can assist further.
Drag to place a box on the desktop and click to select all. Delete them.
Launch your desktop in a File Explorer window, arrange by "date modified." All the extracted Minecraft files should appear at the top.
It's happening because the files are really large, which makes removing them slow—like five minutes for each one when trying to reset the computer.
To reach your desktop folder, press the Windows key and X simultaneously. When the menu appears, use the E key on your keyboard. Select "Desktop" and sort by the most recent modification date. Locate the top file you wish to remove, move it to the bottom, then navigate to the end of the list and press Shift while clicking the last file. Finally, press the delete key.
