Occasionally, while I’m playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, it seems my computer experiences overheating. This manifests as a significant increase in fan noise and complete display disconnects. The only effective remedy is to force a full shutdown by pressing and holding the power button. This issue appears specific to CSGO; I can run more demanding games like PUBG, Dark Souls 3, and Black Ops 4 without any problems. I’m seeking assistance with this perplexing situation.

It’s advisable to check your temperatures using MSI Afterburner, but based on my initial assessment, you’re likely achieving 200 frames per second or higher, which is forcing your processor to run at a high level and causing it to overheat.

Display screens turning dark is frequently a problem with the graphics card. Power supply unit failures may also be responsible. Software conflicts within the graphics drivers can similarly lead to this symptom.
