My 6600k isn't reaching a stable 4.7ghz.
My 6600k struggles to reach 4.7ghz on MSI Z270 SLI PLUS at stable voltages, though it performs well at 4.8ghz with 1.455v on Asus Maximus IX Formula and 4.7ghz on an Asrock gaming k6 at 1.320v. Anyone have suggestions for a suitable overclocking solution for the MSI Z270 SLI PLUS? My setup includes a Phanteks Enthoo primo SE, MSI Z270 SLI PLUS, I5 6600k, 8gb G-skill Trident Z @3000mhz, an Asus 4Gb Strix 970 with G10 bracket and Corsair H55 AIO, a 120mm SP120S drive, a Samsung 120gb SSD, a HyperX FURY 120gb SSD, Nzxt X62, Nzxt X3 140MM AER fans, NZXT HUE +, and a NZXT SENTRY 2 fan controller. I also use an Evga Hex 750w modulator at 80+gold.
Not every motherboard is the same, and you receive what you pay for. The MSI Z270 SLI plus offers more features, while entry-level Z270 boards are more affordable. I'm having trouble getting my pass 4.4 GHz working on the Asus Z170-A.
