I rely on iTunes since I use an iPod to sync my music with my car system, allowing me to manage my playlists easily. Afterward, I might switch to another device once the Pono Player becomes available.

Aimp3, it's really great! I have a metro skin that looks pretty good. I use it on my PC and also on my phone with Playerpro. For music, I stream via Spotify.

For music, definitely foobar2000 works well. I mainly rely on iTunes for syncing to my iPod, though I no longer use it much. My Windows Phone gets synced via Zune Media Player before Windows Phone 8.0 introduced drag-and-drop support. VLC is my go-to player for all media formats, so opening a song in File Explorer plays automatically there. I don’t heavily depend on Windows Media Player, but it remains available occasionally just to try something different. Media Player Classic is kept for video playback, and VLC stays installed as a backup in case MPC fails.

I use it for all sorts of media—audio and video—and it supports a wide range of formats. I switched from VLC because it’s been acting strange lately.

I favor exploring directories over long tables.
