Hello, just moved from i5 9600k to i7 12700k (including motherboard upgrades) after the upgrade. Since then, I’ve experienced many crashes with irql not equal or less and system thread exception not handled. I’ve tried following various guides for scans but haven’t had any success. I’ve also updated all my drivers. The main reason I think about it is using an insider version of win11; I wish I hadn’t signed up!

Did you perform a new Windows 11 installation from the source? What is the most recent BIOS update for your motherboard?

I needed to upgrade to F7 (latest bios) to get my M2 drives picked up. Since I haven’t performed a complete fresh installation due to many downloaded apps for university, I rolled back to an older preview version and still encounter similar crashes. I’m redoing the install to determine if this will resolve the issue!

Several years later:
The problem involved the Memory kits; I installed two 2x8GB units with 3200MHz Corsair, but one didn’t support XMP, so I had to run it at a reduced clock speed.
