Multiboot OS on USB drive
Multiboot OS on USB drive
I'm trying to set up a multi-OS USB with Windows 7 Pro, 8.1 Pro, and Windows 10 Pro using a 32GB USB 3.0 drive. I used the winsetupfromUSB tool and added all my ISO images, but I can boot into each one in legacy mode without issues. However, when I switch to UEFI mode, I get an error. After rebuilding the USB without the Windows 7 ISO, it works fine in UEFI. The EFI capability of the ISO is clear, but the USB fails for both modes. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Yumi was a reliable option from a time ago, could be useful now too.
Windows 7 offers minimal UEFI boot capabilities, and the installation media seems to lack a boot file. You can still install it in UEFI mode by pulling files from the Windows image and placing them in the boot directory. Refer to this guide, though I'm uncertain if it will work smoothly with your multi-OS drive.
I'll test it in Go soon to check how it functions. I aimed for all my ISO files on one USB and used LEGACY mode to boot Win 7 with UEFI while running Windows 7 itself. However, when accessing the UEFI setup, it appears to recognize Win 7 first before failing. I think placing the UEFI ISO ahead of the Windows ISO could resolve this issue. I'll also try using YUMI to see if that works.
You recently installed an Easy2Boot stick and it functioned perfectly.
