Considering a MSI Z97 MPOWER Max AC 1150 with the box and original parts, I’m looking for feedback on what people think about it. It’s not the newest model, but it works well within my budget and requirements. What are the general opinions about this board?
I always dreamed of that board... I chose Gaming 7 instead. I had two MSI Z97 Systems with Z97 Gaming 7 boards, and they performed well. I suspect the BIOS might be lacking in some areas. My setup includes a 4790K with 4.8GHz + 2400MHz CL11 DDR3 at 2666MHz CL12 and another 4790K with 4.7GHz + 2400MHz CL11 at 11.12. The issue lies in the performance of your 4770/4790K and its frequency range. However, the motherboard itself is likely top-notch. MSI has consistently delivered solid results with their motherboards, even on my current i9 10850K using the Z490 Gaming Plus.
