Hey, I see the problem here. Your friend has a 32GB RAM setup on an MSI Z390A-PRO with an i5 9600K. He switched from 16GB to 32GB, but now it doesn’t boot properly. The new RAM sticks work individually, yet together they fail. After updating the BIOS, he managed to boot, but in Tast Manager and BIOS the RAM speed is stuck at 1867Mhz. When he enables XMP Profile 1 (3000Mhz), the PC crashes and asks to run in safe mode or default settings. What do you think? Is there a solution to fix this? Thanks!

The solution is to bring back the recently purchased RAM sticks and purchase new ones with matching or better specifications.

After he managed to boot (probably through some troubleshooting or I don't know exactly what he did), in Task and Bios - RAM Speed - 18xx. Do you know the suggested voltage?

@Kilrah, it seems the system might struggle with higher ranks in memory. Consider increasing voltage (like SOC voltage...) or lowering frequency, try 2666, and gradually progress upward.

His profiles range from 1 to 3000Mhz, 2 to 2666Mhz. I watched a YouTube video and they mentioned the default speed for DDR RAM is 2133, which seems to be what my friend uses at 18xx. That’s the initial thought that came to mind.

The JEDEC standard for 1R DDR4 is 2133 2R or above could be lower, not very clear.

Checked the RAM specifications at the provided link. Setting the voltage from the data suggests a stable performance around 2666 MHz. A quick note: it seems he attempted manual tuning at 1.35 but couldn't reach 3000MHz on all modules, so targeting 2666 makes more sense.
