your external ssd is performing much slower than expected. the transfer speeds are dropping significantly from 500mb to under 100mb on your new msi board. it seems the issue might be related to usb bios configuration. additionally, the pcie interface you're using isn't delivering the advertised 5000mb speed. check the ssd's datasheet and ensure it matches the specifications. also verify that the pcie is properly seated and powered correctly.

not sure why, but my NVME is now hitting 5000mb. still have not been able to figure out my USB issue though. look at this speedtest. this is a SSD. i do get 500mb on my Z370. why is it performing like this on X570?
