He upgraded his system with a Ryzen 5 2600 and an MSI X470 gaming plus, along with Corsair Vengeance LX DDR4 3000 MHz RAM. Since the upgrade, the RAM only functions properly in dual-channel mode and only in slots 3 and 4. Placing it elsewhere—like slots 1 & 3, or 2 & 4, or mixing them—causes it to fail. I discovered this issue isn’t unique to him and hope someone has solutions. He also had to boost the RAM voltage initially to get the system up, as only 8 GB was being used while the other 8 GB was reserved. Raising the voltage helped it run at 2993 MHz, but it still seemed limited to slots 3 and 4. Thanks for your assistance.
