Hello everyone, today's story is about my setup. I'm using a R5 5600 with 16GB of Klevv DDR4 3200 RAM. I recently bought 16GB of Hyper X Fury RAM at 3733 MHz. I thought it would work fine with the 3200 MHz supported by my motherboard, but after installing, I enabled XMP in BIOS and checked Windows—it shows all four sticks running at 3733. Anyone have any ideas on how this is possible? Thanks ahead!

Motherboard compatibility is simply confirmed figures. DDR4-3733 didn't exist when the X370 first launched, and makers usually skip verifying fresh gear once a new generation arrives. DOCP reads the values shown by SPD on the DIMMs. Personally, I'd trust that setup. I'd run Memtest86 often to confirm stability. Also verify your InfinityFabric clock stays at 1:1; any deviation could hurt performance.

Confirmed I had a 3600MHz spare for another project and reached 4066MHz before it wouldn’t boot. It paired successfully on an ASUS X370-Pro board with a 5800X. I’m now running 2666MHz Crucial Ballistix overclocked to 3200MHz.
