Considering the options, I’m leaning toward the 2x8 RAM configuration. Regarding Unify versus Crosshair VIII heroes, both appear to work well and Asus might offer a more stable BIOS. The board’s fan placement near the GPU could be confusing, but it seems intentional. Overall, I’m gathering insights and experiences about either one.

There seem to be some differences between Realtek LAN and Intel LAN, mainly around BIOS compatibility. The BIOS on both appears to be similar, but there are some notable distinctions. The Realtek board might run cooler, and both support flashback and CMOS functions. Although the Intel model is more expensive, it offers higher performance. I currently use an older X99 gaming 5 from Gigabyte, but it won’t enter BIOS, which is frustrating. I’ve noticed a slight preference for Gigabyte now. I also explored Taichi but decided against it.
