Hello, I own a laptop with these specifications: Core i7 11800 H RTX 3070 (85W), 8GB RAM, 16GB storage, 1TB M.2 drive, and a 1TB SSD. You're experiencing trouble running Linux smoothly because the OS is defaulting to using the built-in GPU instead of your 3070. You've tried Manjaro and POP OS, both encountering the same issue. You've confirmed you have the latest BIOS and NVIDIA drivers installed. You're aiming for Arch Linux and want to enable gaming with the 3070 GPU. I understand there was a fix called Optimus Manager, but it hasn't been updated in two years according to the GitHub. I planned to revise this for others facing the same problem with Nvidia Optimus on Linux. I chose Manjaro and used envycontrol - https://github.com/geminis3/envycontrol. Everything is now running very smoothly. Just ensure you have the drivers installed before continuing. Thanks again!
