MSI MPG X570 gaming plus with BIOS flashback appearing three times. (Ryzen 5000 series)
Currently needing to upgrade to this X570 board but don’t have a 2000 or 3000 series chipset. It’s been unused since the motherboard was first sold. Now that I only have a 5000 series processor, I wanted to flash it with the latest BIOS to support Ryzen 5000. But it only shows three blinks before the screen fades. What options do I have? I made a USB stick formatted as fat32 and renamed the BIOS file to msi.rom. I’m not sure what to do next—maybe I’ll need a 2000 or 3000 series processor to update the board. I’m stuck with my B550 TUF Pro and Corsair Vengeance RAM that’s failing, so it’s being sent back for repairs.
Performed the conversion following the instructions. Set format to fat32, restricted space to 3GB, and it began updating smoothly. Thanks to the helpful user for their tips and comments.
Flashed pc.. Woo. Now it's not showing any signal towards the graphics card / boot led on the motherboard... Oof. Showing red on vga and boot, but then I hear windows sounds of it doing something in the background. I'm very confused, should have booted straight into windows now
