Build : X670E GodlikeMobo /Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6400 *NoXMP running at 4800mhz\ RTX 4090 FE AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 2 M.2 Drives 1 Sata SSD EVGA 1300 GT *Water Cooled System The Beginning: First initial boot up went well, had no issues for over a week. Because my system didn’t start Windows one day I checked the BIOS “standard settings / no overclocks” and realized both M.2 drives were missing. I experimented with various configurations without success. Eventually I relocated the drives to different slots – M2_3 & 4 failed. I managed to boot into Windows using M2_5. Also, most SSDs weren’t detected except Sata_P4/P3. When launching Windows on M2 in slot 5, I noticed only Bluetooth worked and it didn’t show up in Device Manager. I tried troubleshooting but had no success. This also seemed to trigger system lag when connecting an iPhone via a Type C port on the rear I/O – causing stuttering or freezing on the desktop. I ended up sending the board back for repair, and once I returned it, the same problems appeared right away. I suspect the issue was with the same board I sent in, possibly because it wasn’t inspected properly. The RMA note said “Repaired,” but it didn’t match reality… I’m now attempting to order a replacement board, hoping they can fix this. I’m planning to post here to see if others faced similar issues? I usually doubt anyone who claims they are divine. After a week of smooth performance, a problem shows signs of wear from failure. Ensure your motherboard isn't in contact with the case except through the designated mounting screws. Problems like yours can happen if the board shorts by touching the case. On my Asus ROG STRIX B550-I gaming setup, I faced static buildup that disrupted Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Both functions would vanish from the device manager, but turning off the PC, unplugging it, and holding the power button restored everything. A BIOS update resolved the issue, and I haven't experienced this again. This might point to a BIOS-related problem.
In recent times (the past five years) these premium halo products have consistently demonstrated they are merely mid-range boards with additional features that cause unusual problems. Plus, they usually receive the last support updates because they’re limited edition releases. Now let's address the concerns—this board seems to be broken or severely affected by hardware settings. The most puzzling issue is that M.2 SATA 4 and 3 slots shouldn’t be present. This strongly indicates faulty BIOS settings, and since these are high-tier models, they won’t receive patches for a long time. If you replace the board, opt for a mid-range model or be prepared for the frustrating experience of running a B550M DS3H perfectly even when testing is needed cheaply.
