MSI Laptop: GPU is good, screen is good, but something between them is dead ?
My laptop fell and broke open, showing an arrow pointing to a specific spot in my photo. The plastic bar snapped back but the screen was dead. It still works fine through its HDMI port, though my graphics card is actually good. One repair shop told me to buy a new screen because I needed that exact part, but it wasn't true. The screen itself isn't broken right now; the problem is somewhere between where the screen goes and where the GPU sits. I went to three stores, and they all said, "We only do MacBook and Dell," which didn't help me figure out what to look for or how to check further. I attached photos of my laptop when I took it apart. Any help would be great. MSI GF65 Thin 9SC Spoiler
You have plugged this screen into another display to check if it's still working? If not, you truly don't know if the screen is actually fine. The wires between the bottom of the case and the screen look a bit strange. It might be impossible to fix whatever damage has already happened. Just call MSI right away and see where their nearest repair shop is. If they say it needs shipping for repair, there will probably be some expensive fees for both sending it out and doing work outside of your warranty.
