MSI GeForce GTX 1050 suitable for streaming.
Hello.
I have an older PC, approximately six years old with an AMD FX 6300 and other outdated components. My only relatively recent addition is a two-year-old MSI GeForce GTX 1050. I was considering selling my current PC to generate some funds, but discovered it doesn’t yield a significant return (perhaps only 100 euros).
I am now contemplating purchasing a new PC, utilizing my existing MSI GeForce GTX 1050 and WD 1TB storage along with other components that I’m likely to discard. However, my goal is to begin streaming games, primarily League of Legends and CS:GO.
I want to determine if I can stream these games effectively with minimal lag and high frame rates, considering my current hardware configuration – a new SSD, 16GB of RAM, and either an i7 or Ryzen 2700/2600X processor. Will these specifications enable me to stream with satisfactory quality, or is the GTX 1050 simply inadequate for streaming?
Have a nice day.
For streaming League of Legends and CS:GO, it’s preferable to use a 6-Core CPU with increased investment in a significantly superior GPU, such as a 1050 Ti – a substantial upgrade over the 1050. Alternatively, retain your existing PC with its current GPU for gaming and designate a separate computer for streaming to enhance the gaming experience, as streaming and encoding processes will be handled by the secondary machine. Suggested configurations: Gaming PC – Ryzen 5 2600 + 1050Ti; Streaming PC – FX 6300 + 1050.
