I could possibly obtain an X570 MSI Gaming Edge for $209 at a nearby Best Buy. I’m curious about its advantages and disadvantages. Would it be a good investment?

It seems like the price of $200 might be quite high for the value provided, so there could be more affordable alternatives available.

It's a really bad VRM setup. The only decent options are MSI X570 models like Tomahawk, Unify, Ace, and Creation—excluding the super pricey Godlike.

This motherboard is the worst VRMs in the entire X570 range! Save yourself some trouble and avoid it. For such a price, you could have gotten the MSI X570 Tomahawk, which performs much better. That cost would have been reasonable when it launched but now it feels like an extremely poor choice.

It’s not a good deal at the current price. Other choices exist that perform better and cost less. More affordable & superior B550 boards: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qXBhP6/...-aorus-pro
Cheaper X570 options: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/whMTwP/...-x570-plus

poor board featuring five phases and 10 units of 4C029N plus 10 units of 4C024N. The @Mateyyy listings seem much improved.
