Uncertain about whether this applies to motherboards or networking gear, but since there’s no populated e-key visible, I recall it was a M.2 slot. It might be located under the large heat sink covering the back panel. Regarding the memory capacity difference between the 560M and 660M models, that information isn’t clear from my search results.
Check the motherboard's user guide for a picture showing the bigger parts that stick onto the board.
The B660M features an integrated M.2 E-key WiFi card positioned right behind the antenna ports on the i/o panel. You can clearly see the card in the image. It contains the necessary components, so no additional module is required. Once the drivers are installed, it’s ready to use. The design suggests it may be removable or upgradable as well.
It seems to be a vertical installation. Also, this model is the B660M-A with Wi-Fi. Since there are several B660M units available, any differences in yours might affect performance.
So there is one under the heat sink. Was the only place it could be. Potentially useful when 6e gets out moded. On my board the black heatsink inboard of that extends all the way over the top of the various body’s to an integrated back panel. So I guess all I have to do is figure out how to open it when the time comes.
It's likely the device uses Wi-Fi 6 despite the label, and the 560Mbps speed is consistent with Wi-Fi 6 capabilities. The different heat sink doesn't affect the port or Wi-Fi version.
