Essentially, your audio stopped working suddenly without any OS-related issues in Windows or Ubuntu. I attempted to reinstall audio drivers, checked the BIOS settings for HD audio, and tried various other steps, but nothing resolved the problem. Interestingly, the sound settings in the control panel detected audio, yet I couldn't hear anything through my wired headphones. It seems the Bluetooth headset is functioning properly and even works with music on my mobile device and laptop. Could anyone suggest a solution? Thanks. P.S. Your wired headphones are in great shape and performing well.

Front panel or back on the motherboard? The audio built into your case seems to be failing for some reason.

The device is located at the back of the motherboard, yet the front audio isn't functioning properly. The HD Audio cable is connected correctly, but it seems to be the issue.

Save your BIOS configurations before proceeding with a reset. It seems there might be an issue with the built-in audio card, which doesn't rely on that device. Since Bluetooth operates independently, functionality remains intact. If the reset doesn't resolve the matter, consider updating the BIOS and attempting another reset.

Origami Cactus performed a manual BIOS reset and cleared the CMOS. The issue persists. Realtek Audio Console was added just to test if connecting headphones would trigger detection, and it worked. Planning an update to the latest BIOS now.

I just upgraded the BIOS to the newest release, but I’m still missing any sound output. Should I delete the motherboard? At the same time, I don’t want to lose access to my primary computer for more than a month...

You might want to browse the entire BIOS manually, as there seems to be an option to disable certain features. If you don’t find anything, consider sending a return message. Also, did you attempt to reset the BIOS instead of updating it?

It seems your DAC stopped working, which is common. You might need to return it for repair.

Spended a lot of time adjusting BIOS settings and searching for the reason, but it didn’t resolve the problem. After updating the BIOS, I reset it again.

I'm likely to do that, but I'll attempt to bring it to my local computer service store for them to review. Thanks.
