im building my first pc and i chose an msi b450m pro-vhd max paired with a ryzen 5 5600x and just realised i need to update the bios but it has no flashback and i don't have a 3000 seires cpu, im pretty confused what i should do any help would be appriciated Smile

If its a new motherboard, there is a good likely hood it may have a proper BIOS to support the CPU out of the box. It would include a sticker on it that says Ryzen 5000 ready if this were the case. If not, you can apply for an AMD bootkit. You can learn more here about the bootkit and how to apply for it: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

Try it anyway just in case it hasn't been updated. If not, look for a nearby store that might offer it at a lower price, or check the provided link for the bootkit.
