MSI B450I - R5 3600 and PCIe SATA/Raid (H310) problems reported

Hey everyone, I’m having some trouble setting up my new home server. After a long day, I ran into an issue with the MSI B450i. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

- Mainboard: MSI B450I mini ITX (one PCIe slot)
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- RAM: 2x 32GB DDR4 3600
- Storage: DELL PERC H310 SATA RAID card (IT mode, tested and works)
- Additional: 2 extra 2-Port SATA PCIe cards for testing

The problem is that I need 8 SATA ports. I thought using the PERC H310 8-port SATA RAID controller in IT mode would solve it. When I connect it and boot into Windows, everything works fine. However:

- Connected drives appear in Device Manager
- Volume controllers show up but can’t be populated
- Disk manager freezes trying to read data
- Explorer lists disks that aren’t accessible

I’ve tried different cables and even used the same cable with another PC where it worked perfectly. The two extra PCIe cards also didn’t show up or function properly.

I’ve adjusted RAM speed to 3200 (the manual says 3600 isn’t supported) and changed the PCIe settings manually, but nothing helped.

I’m confused: is my board faulty? The GPU plugged into the same port seems fine, or is there a limitation with the B450i from MSI or Ryzen? My other systems are Intel-based and work without issues.
