MSI B450 Tomahawk Max lights up red during startup
Hey, I'm having trouble with the light. It should blink once at startup, then nothing happens. Everything seems normal—fans are running, CPU is active. The PC was working when I first brought it in, but after a month it stopped responding. Now I’m trying to turn it on again but there’s no display.
Looking great on the forum! What are your system details? Without knowing other components we can't assist properly. Have you attempted simple fixes? Trying to reinsert RAM, inspecting cables for monitor/display connections (including CPU and MOBO ports).
The complete picture of the system revolves around the CPU debug light. For a Ryzen 5000 series processor, the BIOS might not recognize it unless updated.
CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600xT processor on a MSI B450 tomahawk motherboard. Main hard drive is a 500 GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD. Graphics card supports GeForce GTX 1650 with 4 GB of VRAM. Power supply is a T-dinger model delivering 600 watts. RAM comes from an XPG gaming drive with 16 GB. CPU overclocking is possible via a Hyper-4G power supply.
The system is active now, yet it hasn’t been used for a month. Attempting to launch it, but the screen remains blank.
