it may, or not. usually, there's no reasons for the machine to do that except when something is shorted between 12/5V or any rail to ground. even if you didn't connect power supply on the gpu. you usually get a message that say the gpu need extra cable. but maybe i'm wong and some motherboard/gpu doesn't warn you and refuse to sart, and... i really hope for you
I connected the two pins, but the same red light stays on. The device doesn't power up.
Would it match what I did in the corners? Just a standard Philips screw?
I was curious about where the confrontations are happening. It seems the threads aren't visible. I thought maybe they were misplaced and made contact with something on the back of the board. However, it looks like the stand-off spots are gone—there aren’t any left. The screws that came with the case should work just fine. Edited September 5, 2020 by ShrimpBrime additional comment
