MSI B450 Tomahawk Max compatible with Ryzen 7 3700X BIOS
BIOS updates often have a purpose. I’m not well versed with MSI in particular, but except for some early problems where certain boards weren’t fully compatible with the Ryzen 3000 series, I don’t know any specific complications. The MAX model is already designed for Ryzen 3000 and should work fine for flashing updates.
It’s not necessary to revise the bios much. If a board includes MAX at the end of MSI, it automatically marks its compatibility with Ryzen 3000 right out of the box. Personally, I always refresh my BIOS after assembling a new system, particularly with the latest chips, since those releases often fix bugs and issues. Updating your BIOS before building ensures you get the optimal setup possible.
