MSI B450 Tomahawk lacks VGA LED display functionality.
Computer fails to post completely. VGA LED remains illuminated and inactive. System worked properly until a few weeks prior, after which I stopped using it for about a week. Attempting to start it didn’t work. I disconnected everything from the unit and reconnected it, including all drives, fans, power supplies, and even swapped in different graphics cards. I also reset the CMOS multiple times and replaced the 2032 battery. Cleaning the PCIe slots with a blow-off method helped, but when I tested both PCIe slots with the new cards installed, posting still didn’t occur. Now the system is still unresponsive.
It's likely the cleaning affected a part, even though we're careful. To figure out which one failed, test each component separately on a known good system. Since the VGA display lights up, the CPU probably caused the issue. If everything else works fine elsewhere, the motherboard might be the problem. Good luck!
