I'm trying to set up a new motherboard, specifically the MSI B450-A pro max ATX. I'm unsure which DIMM slots to use for dual-channel configuration. The manual doesn't provide this information, and I haven't seen it online. Anyone have any advice or resources? Also, I just stumbled upon it in the manual—there was a small picture on the bottom that I didn’t notice before.
Channel 2 and 4, moving from the CPU to the right, refer to the second and fourth slots.
Similar to any other motherboard... The furthest slot from the CPU, followed by an empty slot and a full slot... So [CPU socket] ---- [1 | 2 | 3 | 4] --- Atx power You'd want to insert 2 and 4.
