Using the identical board at 3600X didn't trigger any issues.

Fat 32 drive using MBR partition. The light pulses, becomes more rapid, then stops as expected. All the drives I've used are 16GB. I strictly followed the steps. I changed the BIOS file to MSI.ROM and placed it at the root of the drive.

You probably don't need partitions that are too large, especially with MSI.ROM in the root directory.

All storage devices use a specific partition setup... Typically MBR or GPT formats are used. There’s just one partition, stored in FAT32. A common problem during flashback installations was that some users had a GPT partition scheme, which wouldn’t function properly even if the drive was formatted as FAT32.

You’ve already verified most steps, so focus on confirming a few key points: you waited sufficiently long and confirmed the correct USB port is being used. If the issue persists, consider testing an older BIOS version (like 7B86vA9 or A8) that isn’t marked as beta. Ensure the CPU pins aren’t damaged and the system doesn’t POST or show the CPU debug light. If these conditions are met, contact MSI Support, request the AMD boot-kit, or consider using an alternative flashback solution such as the X570 if necessary. Keep in mind your return window will affect your options.

I've tested five BIOS updates on three different flash drives, using the proper port. I reviewed every relevant thread I could find after extensive searching. Everything flashed as described in the manual with no extra components on the board. I'm really exhausted and decided to return the board to Amazon for an X570 instead. Not worth the time spent, especially after all these hours. Thanks for your support!

The assumption holds true. Delivering the board is confirmed. Appreciate your prompt reply!

You're experiencing issues during the BIOS flashback process on your MSI B450-a Pro. The LED behavior suggests the system is trying to confirm the operation, but if it doesn't change color or stop blinking as expected, it could indicate a problem with the BIOS installation or hardware compatibility. Double-check that the thumb drive is properly seated and the CPU/RAM/GPU are correctly recognized. If the issue persists, consider consulting MSI support or checking for firmware updates.
