I accidentally increased the core clock to maximum on my GPU 1080Ti in MSI AFTERBURNER, causing it to crash repeatedly with a multicoloured pixel screen before needing a power reset. Is there a solution to fix this issue and is the GPU still functional?

Start in safe mode and turn off the MSI afterburner or remove it. This should prevent it from enforcing the unstable overclock. In future, ensure the auto apply option is disabled until a stable overclock is achieved.

turn machine on, delete hammer, remove no, then go to system and restore defaults, save and exit, reboot, everything should work fine without issues

There isn't a restore option available within the system.

I'm really worried about this—it's either freezing or causing errors on my screen.
