I ran MSI Afterburner's automatic overclock scanner recently, but I didn't like the adjustments it suggested. I reset it and now it automatically applies an overclock, yet the settings aren't the same as before. It's puzzling. Can anyone explain what's happening and how to revert this?
You can use a tool such as Revo Uninstaller to fully remove MSI Afterburner, then reinstall it afterward. This will clear any remaining files and hidden configurations.

I adjusted two methods but wasn't sure which fixed it. In MSI Afterburner I disabled "reset display mode on applying unofficial overclocking," while in the Nvidia App I turned on the automatic overclock scanner and then quickly canceled it to get access to the restore option. After restarting the PC, everything worked again. It seems the Nvidia app was more likely to be the solution.
